Accidental Subscription Refund

Hello, please help.

I was charged earlier for a monthly subscription renewal to Figma and wanted a full refund since it was accidental and I am not really planning on renewing. They charged me already and I wanted to cancel the transaction as soon as possible.

Hey ​@bellaaatrix, I can see you’ve already contacted support (ticket #1813238). The team will follow up with you directly with more details on your request. For security and privacy reasons we can’t handle billing issues directly in the public forum. Just to set expectations in the meantime, Figma subscription payments are generally non-refundable, including renewals.

A couple of helpful things to know going forward:

  • If this charge was due to adding a paid seat, those are billed (or prorated) for the remainder of the billing period
  • You can downgrade someone to a free View seat at any time:
    Go to Admin → People
    Click their seat type and change it to View
  • Paid seat can still be used by someone else until the billing period ends
  • If you don’t need the seat anymore, you can reduce seats at your next renewal to avoid future charges
