Accidental Dev Seat / Full Seat Upgrade — Refund Review Needed, Ticket Open With No Response

Hello Figma team,

I opened a support ticket 3 days ago but have not received a response yet.

Ticket ID: #1901080

I need help with an accidental billing issue on my account.

On 13-May-2026, a payment was made for a Dev Seat by mistake. I also noticed that I may have accidentally upgraded/added a Full Seat, which appears to have been added to the next invoice as well. I did not intend to keep or use these paid seats.

I already contacted support and explained that the payment/seat change was made by mistake, but the ticket is still open with no reply.

Could someone from the Figma billing/support team please review this case and help with either:

  1. refunding the accidental Dev Seat payment, and
  2. removing/refunding the accidentally added Full Seat from the next invoice, if applicable.

I understand Figma’s payments may normally be non-refundable, but this was an accidental seat change/payment and I am requesting a one-time billing review.

Firstly, I found your ticket and flagged it to our team to raise the priority for you, so you should hear back soon from them. While we can’t assist with billing issues like this here in the forum, this should help get you a reply and answer more quickly. Secondly, I want to highlight what you can do in the meantime regarding your seats so you know how you can control what you are billed for.

 

Our guide to managing billing on the Professional plan covers this more in detail, but to remove full seats you’ll go to click on Admin from the files browser, select the People tab, click on a person’s seat from the Seat type column, then in the popup select the free View seat and confirm the change. Note that this doesn’t issue a pro-rated refund since we don’t provide those when moving users to a free View seat.
