3K prompts have already been exhausted

My 3K prompts have already been exhausted. I only used around 20 prompts, but after that the access stopped working. This issue has been happening continuously for the last 2 months.

I am facing this issue in Figma Make. The AI prompts/credits are not working properly even though I have barely used them

I hear your frustration. It definitely feels off when 20 prompts seem to drain 3,000 credits. The key thing to know is that credits and prompts aren't 1:1 in Figma Make. Credit usage varies based on:

  • Task complexity: generating a full app from scratch can use 100+ credits in a single prompt.
  • Model selection: more powerful models like Claude Opus 4.7 use significantly more credits than the default.
  • Context materials: attaching files or design libraries adds to credit consumption.

Depending on what you were building, your prompts could reach 3,000 credits faster than expected. Since you mentioned this has been happening for two months in a row, I'd love to understand more. What kinds of prompts are you typically running? Are you building an idea from scratch? Are follow up prompts long and involve many changes? This can help us gauge whether the usage lines up with what's expected.
 

In the meantime, you can hover over the AI credits icon beneath any completed prompt in Figma Make to see exactly how many credits each of your prompts have used while you’re working. That said, if you believe credits are being consumed when no meaningful work is being performed, please let me know.
