Request for In-Person Waitlist – Config India 2026

Dear Config India Organizing Team,Thank you for the update regarding my application for Config India 2026. I’m grateful to have been registered for the virtual experience, but I wanted to reach out personally because attending Config in person is something I was genuinely hoping for.I registered well in advance with the intention of experiencing the event on-site—not only to learn from the Figma team and industry leaders, but also to connect with fellow designers, exchange ideas, and be part of the design community in person. I’m an enthusiastic UI/UX practitioner who actively follows and engages with the design ecosystem, I would truly value the opportunity to be there physically.I completely understand that in-person capacity is limited and that you received an overwhelming number of applications. However, if any seats become available due to cancellations or changes in attendance, I would sincerely appreciate being considered for an in-person spot. If an official waitlist is available, please add my application to it. I’m also happy to attend on short notice if an opportunity becomes available closer to the event.I know that in-person spots are limited, and I completely respect the selection process. Hey @Dipti Thombare and @ansari, thanks for both for reaching out!

@Dipti Thombare, It really comes through how much being there in person means to you, I wish I had a better answer for you on that front. Applications for the in-person event closed on August 21, and we don't have an official waitlist in place for in-person seats, even for last-minute cancellations. We're also not able to offer ticket transfers for Config India. I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, especially after registering as early as you did.

The good news is your virtual registration is already active, so you'll have free access to every keynote and session live on October 15. All talks will also be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel afterward, so you won't miss anything even watching from home.

@ansari, I hear you, they're the same for everyone who wasn't accepted this year, since the policy doesn't change person to person.

We'd love to see you at a future Config in person.

Well.. No point. lolI had requested the same as I was rejected twice consecutively. But they replied like a Parrot. Exact same statement was copied and pasted in the reponse as I got in the original email…Phew….Discouraging indeed….
