Hi Figma Support Team,

My name is Jay, and I’m organizing the Figma in Gothenburg community meetup — a design group of over 650 members. We host events every two months, alternating between presentations and hands-on collaboration sessions to help designers connect, learn, and grow together.

Our last meetup of 2025 will take place on December 2nd, and it will be a hands-on collaboration workshop with around 60 participants. To celebrate the creativity and teamwork of our community, we’d love to award the winning team with some Figma merch or perks.

Could you please let us know if there’s a way to get official Figma items or community support for this event? We’d be happy to share photos, tag Figma on social media, and highlight your support in our post-event recap.

Hey ​@JAY Design , thanks so much for reaching out! (And wow, 650 members is amazing!) We absolutely love seeing local communities come together around Figma, and it’s awesome that you’re creating space for designers to learn and collaborate. 🙌

At the moment, we’re only able to provide merch and event support through our official Friends of Figma program. Since we can’t support all external events, we’re unfortunately not able to send swag for this meetup.

It’s ashamed that there isn’t Gothenburg on the list.

I will definitely register our group to Figma’s friend list. And I am wondering how long will it take to be approved? Maybe I can manage it in time😃

That’s amazing news! Thanks for letting us know. Applications are reviewed quarterly and the team shared they just finished reviewing this last cohort for 2025, but they will try to follow up soon!
