Hey, I am starting out Figma. I am unable to understand few things.
1- I had figma on student account but i switched it to professional and bought professional dev mode also.
2- I am unable to remove the lock. And i do not understand why the lock is there.
3- I do not have any team members.
4- When i have bought the professional Dev mode why am I still not able to work on anything or make a new project?

I understand that you previously had an Education plan and then subscribed to a Professional plan with a Dev seat, but you’re now seeing a locked team and are unable to work on files.
I checked on our end and can see that you currently have a few Free Starter teams, and it seems that the Professional subscription on one of your teams has been canceled.
Why your team is locked:
When an Education plan expires, the team is automatically downgraded to a Free Starter plan.
On this plan, you are limited to 3 files. If you have more than 3 files, the team becomes "locked" to prevent further editing until it’s within the limit.
How to unlock:
You need to move your extra files back to your Drafts or delete unnecessary files. Once you have 3 or fewer files in that project, the lock will be removed.

Regarding your Dev Mode seat:
Since you mentioned you cannot create a new project or work on anything, it is likely because you only have a Dev seat. A Dev seat includes view and comment access in Figma Design files. If you need to create or edit Figma design files (or use Figma Make), you would need a Full seat.
