Zscaler is blocking Figma desktop application in the office network. But the same is accessible through browser in the same network. I tried adjusting the registry settings suggested in the Figma help center. But unfortunately it didn't work. Even the IT team is not able to figure out the issue. Please help to resolve this. Any suggested settings or adjustments need to be done?

Hi Aswanth, thanks for the details, and I understand how tricky this kind of setup can be!

Since you're using Zscaler and the browser version works but the desktop app doesn’t, we recommend confirming with your IT team that the Zscaler proxy is safe-listed for Figma traffic.

Also, just to double-check, have you already followed the desktop configuration steps from these Help Center articles?

If the issue still persists, please confirm if the settings you added to com.figma.Desktop.plist, and make sure you’re using the correct domain for your Zscaler setup. More details of the domains can be found here: https://help.zscaler.com/zia/zscaler-service-endpoints

If none of these help, I’d recommend submitting a bug report so our support team can investigate further. Please include:

  • The email tied to your Figma account

  • A quick summary of the steps you've already tried

  • A console log showing the issue (how to export console logs

Thank you!

Hi Celine,

Thank you for the response! Figma traffic is already safe-listed. Could you guide step by step how to do the registry settings? I have already done this, but not sure in the right way though! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply! That does sound unusual if your Figma traffic is already safe-listed.

From what I understand, you’ve already tried the setup steps from our Help Center:

I checked internally, and we recommend you to contact our technical quality team by submitting a bug report

They’ll be best equipped to assist you further on the technical side.

Thank you 🙏🏼
