I have never given anybody editor permission and I have only ever signed up for the 1 seat for myself.

Yet out of nowhere I have received a bill for $72 saying that I am using 3 seats.

I can’t even find any settings to see where these seats are.

Why am I being charged and how can I stop this?

I’m sorry to hear this happened. I see that you’ve already reached out to our support team. They will explain why it happened and they’ll look into it as soon as they can.


Please let me how to manage seats in general. On the Professional plan, people have a Design seat—which includes Dev Mode—and a FigJam seat. Here’s how a team admin can manage someone’s seats, and inspect details about when and how they upgraded.



  1. From the left sidebar of the file browser, click Admin.

  2. If required, select the Members tab.

  3. Navigate to the person you’d like to manage and click their Design or FigJam seat type.

  4. Select a different seat type according to the options below.


To prevent this in the future, you can select Viewer-restricted to limit their access to design files to view-only. This will remove them from the team’s billing, and only team admins can upgrade them to a full seat.
