New to figma, I just wanted to grab some wireframing libraries and rapid prototype some stuff

but nothing works.

As you can see in the screenshot, they’re added to my team, added to my project, they don’t show up in the asset side bar even though i’m looking at “all libraries” so i cannot easily grab the components. Only the default 3 libraries show up in the sidebar.

What am I doing wrong? this is beyond frustrating. Also the flow of “publishing” libraries from the community page makes no sense to begin with. I’m not publishing them, if anything I’m importing them. Why for such a popular product is this not more simple?

Hello Douglas,

The libraries found here are the libraries that figma emits by default. and you can use them by adding them to your file. (add to file)

You can get the source files found in the community by cloning them to your personal account, then publish this file as a library and then add it to your file from this section. (you must have a pro account for this)

Right, I did all of that, but it didn’t work.

Now, maybe I had a bad network when I first pressed publish on those libraries, because upon checking again, the button to publish them as a library within my team was blue again, when I pressed it the second time, now it works as expected. So I guess my rant is over, it still seems odd to me the whole 2 step process of needing to copy them first, then publish them, but so it is.
