Why are advanced animation options (like "Slide in/out" or "Push") enabled only for my right chevron and not for left chevron when using "Change to" in variants?

I'm prototyping a horizontal product carousel in Figma using component variants. I want both the left and right chevron buttons to animate between visible states, but I'm seeing that advanced transitions (e.g., Slide in/out, Push) are only available for one direction (right chevron), not the other (left chevron).

Has anyone else encountered this? Am I missing something about how Figma enables advanced animation types for variant connections?
