I am using Make. Two images on the site do not appear when I publish while all the others do. Figma has burned all my credits running circles around the same potential fixes which are primarily around asset hash. What are the reasons this could be happening so I can help Figma think differently?
When using Make, some product images are not appearing when published, but they do when in Make

Hi
Thanks for sharing this — I understand that only some of your images are appearing after publishing while others are not, even after trying a number of different approaches.
I’ve located your support ticket (#1823831) and have escalated it internally to increase its visibility.
It will be helpful if you could share a direct link with the team to your impacted file and invite support-share@figma.com with “Can View” access — this will not impact your billing and will allow us to reproduce the issue and investigate with Engineering. They’ll be able to take a closer look at your specific file and investigate what might be happening with those images on publish.
In the meantime, here are a couple of things that may be helpful to double-check:
- How the image was added (for example, via drag-and-drop, media picker, or replacing a fill)
- How the image is placed in your design (since images are applied as fills within objects)
Since they’re visible in your file but not after publishing, here are some steps to try:
- Re-add the images: Try removing the affected PNG images from your site file and re-adding them using the Image/video tool (Shift + Cmd + K on Mac / Shift + Ctrl + K on Windows), then republish your site.
- Check for publishing issues: When you go to publish, look at the "Issues" section in the publishing window - this shows technical issues that might prevent your site from working properly. Address any flagged issues before republishing. (read more)
- Verify image specifications: Make sure your PNG files aren't corrupted or have any unusual properties that might cause publishing problems.
If helpful, this guide outlines how images are added and handled in Figma Sites/Make:
https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/33666207487767-Add-images-and-video-to-a-site
Given that only certain images are affected, comparing how those PNGs were added versus the ones that are displaying correctly may help narrow things down.
Hope this helps in the meantime. Please keep an eye on your inbox — someone from the team will follow up on your ticket shortly and guide you through the next steps 🙏
