In the April 2025 release notes, Figma announced improvements to the annotations feature. It is now visible outside of dev mode, with no need to switch.

I interpreted this to mean that everyone can see my annotations, regardless of having a Dev Mode or a Viewer seat. However, that is not the case. Team members with view access to the file cannot see my annotations.

Could you please clarify the difference, now that annotations can be managed without dev mode? How do I solve the problem of Viewers not being able to see annotations?

You’re not the first one to have this complaint. One of the threads about it here has been spun out into a feature request thread for the devs (though since we don’t have the same voting functionality that we did on the old forum, I’m not sure how visibility/popularity of these requests is being handled)
