What happens when AI exceeds its limits?

Hello. I'm happy to be working with Figma Make. They're definitely the best in this field! However, I have a question. What exactly does "Until then, we aren't charging for exceeding Full seat limits" mean? Does it mean that even though I've exceeded the 3500 limit on my PRO subscription, I won't be charged extra? But why? I've already exceeded the limits. There won't be any surprise charges, right? (I used Translate. Sorry for any grammatical errors.)

Hi @Gao HuaiYu, thanks for chiming in here!

No fees will be charged for exceeding limits before March 18th, but you will be notified in app when/if you’ve exceeded your current limit. This should allow you to be more mindful of your current AI credit usage and estimate if you may need to purchase additional credits in the future, if you prefer to not be billed at the pay-as-you-go rate.

Hope this helps clarify!

Hi @Mecit Uçar, thanks for reaching out!

Full seat credit enforcement begins on March 18, 2026, after which additional credit purchasing options will also be available. Any additional credit usage above your limits will appear as a line item on your next invoice, billed at the pay-as-you-go rate which is currently $0.03 per credit.

So, may I ask, if I exceeded the quota before March 18th, how was the fee calculated?
