What could be the reason my plugin stopped loading for no apparent reason?

So the last published version of my plugin loads just fine, but the current dev version just shows this forever

I’ve been looking through the code changes but I don’t seem to have touched anything that would cause this, other than I updated the plugin version number in manifest.json. I’m really lost.
