Using the same symbol for both instances and components in a set can cause confusion

It look same, but Dropdown actually is a component, Table Cell is instance.
Honestly freak me a little, I though my component are all missing.

Is there a way to change the symbol without retreat to previous UI? I kind like the UI3

No, that’s an instance.

You can’t have a component nested in a component… Only instances.

If you try to make a component with a component in it, Figma will make put the first component outside the new component, and replace it with an instance.

Just right click the instance and “go to main component” to find it.

People commonly talk about “Nested components” but the right term is “Nested instances”

no, I didn’t “make a component with a component in it”
Table Cell is a component_set with 4 component in it, Figma make this kind of component look like instance, and it’s confusing.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

That’s weird, and it’s not what I see when I make a Component with 4 variants in it:

You may need to reload your UI or something.

yes, I noticed, my Figma is normal also right now.
I think it is a UI bug.
