Unable to Pick Up Badge for Config

Hi, I’m attending the upcoming Config and currently have an in-person ticket, but unfortunately I won’t be able to pick up my badge myself. 

Would it be possible for someone else to pick up the badge on my behalf? If so, could you let me know:

• what information or authorization is required
• and which email/contact I should notify in advance

The Marketing Event teams confirms to check in and pick up your badge, you will need your photo ID and your unique Config QR code (which you can find at the bottom of this email or in the Config mobile app). The last name on your ID and the last name on your Config ticket must match. Please note, you will need to pick up your own badge.

Badge pickup will take place at Moscone North:

• Tuesday, June 23: 9:00AM - 7:00PM PDT
• Wednesday, June 24: 7:00AM - 5:00PM PDT
• Thursday, June 25: 7:00AM - 3:00PM PDT

Hey! Thanks for the reply! My question is actually a bit different - I won’t be able to attend Config in person this year, but I already have an in-person ticket. I’d still love to get the merch that comes with it.

Would it be possible for my friend to pick up my badge on my behalf so they can also collect the merch for me? If so, is there any information or authorization you need from me in advance? Thanks for your help!

I'm currently checking with the team to confirm whether badge and merch pickup can be done by someone else on your behalf, and if any advance authorization is required.

Hi @Katherine_Swei, I’m Gayani also from the Community Support team. Thanks so much for your patience while we looked into this.

Unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate having someone else pick up your badge or merch at Config. Per our event policy, badge collection requires the attendee to be present in person with their own photo ID, there are no exceptions to this. As a result, swag is reserved exclusively for in-person attendees who check in themselves.

We're sorry we couldn't make this work for you this time, and hope to see you at a future Config!
