So I’ve done everything properly steps and all created a menu with 4 buttons > applied auto layout > made it into a component > added a variant > named them as their states > prototyped as required > added the instance on to the screen and when finally presenting when I click the button it opens upside down. this has me so demotivated as I’m just beginning to learn Figma. Please help me creators.
Hi
I understand you've created a menu component with auto layout, variants, and prototyping, but when you click a button in the presentation view, the menu appears upside down. That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially when you're just starting out – I totally get how demotivating that can be.
To help us understand what might be happening, if you can share a video recording demonstrating the behavior, it would be super helpful. Please include your component setup and prototype settings in the recording if possible.
This will significantly increase the chances of our community experts being able to pinpoint the issue and help, and it will also give us the necessary information to connect you with the appropriate team if needed.
Also, you can always check out our community resources to see if there are any similar setups that could help inspire you. For example, feel free to explore search results for dropdown menu component.
Thanks,
Hey
