The fonts I stalled became unavailable in Figma after I restarted my laptop. However they are still installed in my computer, just I can’t use them in Figma - Can anyone help with this situation? Thanks.

Hi there, can you please try the following steps to see if they help?

  1. Figma requires the Font Helper to access local fonts when using the browser or desktop app. If you're using Figma in the browser, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Figma Font Helper to ensure it's working properly.

To uninstall the Font Helper:

On Window
Uninstall any of the above programs from the programs section of the Windows Control Panel:

  • Open the Windows Control Panel
  • Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Right-click the program and select Uninstall. Follow the directions on the screen.

On Mac

  • Open Terminal.app and paste the following command:
    /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://desktop.figma.com/agent/mac/uninstall.sh)"

If you haven’t installed it yet, you can download the Font Helper here: https://www.figma.com/downloads/

  1. If the issue continues after reinstalling the Font Helper, try reinstalling your fonts to ensure they’re correctly registered in your system’s font manager:
    - Delete the fonts from your system
    - Restart your computer

    - Reinstall the fonts
    - Relaunch both Font Helper and Figma

More details are available in Figma’s help article: Add a font to Figma Design.

  1. If the issue persists after trying these steps, I’d recommend to reach out directly our support team for further investigation here: Submit a bug report
When submitting, please make sure to use your Figma email account, mention your OS and version (e.g., Windows 11, macOS Ventura), whether the issue happens in Figma Web or Desktop, and the font name. Thank you!
