Text styles disappearing

Same here, my text style disappeared from my projects and I cant use them as I cant find them in the styles dropdown

We had a service disruption this morning that may have caused this. Can you please refresh and let us know if you still have issues?

i am having this issue. 

i’ve created text styles, applied them to elements, returned the next day and randomly half the text styles have disappeared. the text styles have tokenised values for font size, line height and font family. I’ve tried recreating the styles a number of times now, which is getting very frustrating. I wondered if its because the styles had the same names but in different text style folders, but even changing the names completely, the issue still occurs. And there were multiple elements using these disappearing styles

I’m having the exact same issue as Simon. I had 91 text styles linked to variables for different weights, line heights, sizes. Now they’re all gone. It took me two full days to create and link everything, and now they’re just gone. ☹️

Now is 2025-05-16, still same issue.

Yep, still encountering this issue. What’s worse is that when I go to rewrite text in a component variable (that has a linked font style) it completely resets the font family to something completely different. 

This issue still persist – I’ve already lost hours of my work due to this bug.

There was a service disruption last year as mentioned ​@djv that may have contributed to some of these issues, but that has since been resolved. If you haven’t already, a refresh or reopening of the file might help if the issue was related to that incident.

That said, since these reports span a longer period and could have different root causes, we recommend reaching out directly to our support and technical quality teams so they can investigate your specific case. You can do that by submitting a bug report here.

• Share the file with support-share@figma.com as an Editor

This will give our team the best chance to get to the bottom of it.

For visibility here: in @Claudia_Brambilla’s case, our engineers have already investigated the issue. Thank you for filling out the form! Based on their findings, overriding text content shouldn’t affect font styles. However, it’s possible that a style was unintentionally overridden during other edits.

The team tested a few components from your file but weren’t able to reproduce any unexpected detachment of styles. At this point, the best options would be to either:

• Manually reattach the styles, or

• Use “Reset all changes” on the component (please note this will reset all overrides, not just the styles)

We know this isn’t ideal, and we’ll continue to monitor for related reports.
