Hey! I am a university student, therefore I registered to be verified for Figma education. All this was succesful until now, when I got a message when I opened my project, that the payment was unsuccesful. I didn’t understand it, because I shouldn’t have to pay for this plan since I am a student. I tried to solve the problem and Figma said: Change your accounts email, organizations only allows work emails. I followed the link to change it but I can’t, since I registered with Google years ago, when I wasn’t eligible for student plan. What can I do?

This is completely unrelated. You shouldn’t be in an Organization in the first place.
Why am I there then? Maybe one of my classmates screwed up. But now how can I leave? By the way the settings say that my team has a professional descripton (which should be free for me, because I registered as a student), not an organization.
Share some screenshots of all these details (the team you are on, the messages you get etc.) to Figma support (or here if you can).
You shouldn’t be on Professional team, Education plan is a separate thing. Downgrade the team and upgrade to Education.
I think it is cancelled, how can I upgrade it to education?
You need to wait until May 18 😬 Anyway as I said better reach out to Figma support. This is a community forum.
