Student account unable to access Dev options

I am a student starting to use Figma to create some html to learn while helping the community by creating some data entry forms for charity. I created the account yesterday but am unable to try this out. Should the school have an education plan that covers Figma for this?

    I understand you are interested in obtaining our Professional plan for free with your education discount.

    Here's how you can do that after creating your Figma account:

    1. Apply for your education status with your Figma account
    2. Get your education status verified.
    3. Choose or make a team to upgrade to the Professional plan for free (Education plan) with your education status verified account.

    Once upgraded, you will have access to Dev Mode in your education team. Check out this guide for step-by-step instructions: Verify education status
