Hi there! To disable the default Figma UI Kits that are added as libraries, you can remove them directly in the library by hovering then clicking ‘Added’ just next to these UI Kits, this option will remove it directly in your library.

Or, go to Assets in the left panel where the libraries appear, then the UI Kits should appear in the same column in the bottom, right-click and select ’ Remove library from this file’. This will prevent those specific UI kits from loading automatically in your library.
Please check my screenshot below to better visualise it.

I hope this helps!

Thank you so much, Celine. I can remove them like you showed me, but they always come up again. And they appeared in all our files. Also when we duplicate a file from which they have been removed they alwas come up again. Isn’t there a way to disable them from showing up at all? TA

Thank you for the clarification! The solution here is to automatically remove these UI kits within a specific team, preventing them from appearing in your files or creating duplicates.*

To set this up, open your library, then click on ‘Enable libraries for all teams for your team settings’ (see screenshot below). You can also access this directly through your team settings page.

You’ll then be redirected to your Settings. From there, click on ‘View team libraries’ under the Shared section.

Click in the 'UI kits, then toggle off the UI kits you would like to disable.

You can also verify directly by clicking on the name of the UI Kit to ensure that the default enable setting is turned ‘Off’.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you need any further clarification 🙂
