Im a single designer, with no team, and I have few files of UI Kits, so to be able to use them and for the instances to get component updates do I need the Pro plan ? isn't there a way in the free plan ? Or just the copy and paste way ?

If you want to use design assets from your UI Kits file across different files, you need to publish the UI Kits file as a library. And it's available on our paid plans, as you already know.
In the meantime, you can definitely still create a component within one file and then reuse it as an instance in that same file.
