Requesting to Recover Permanently Deleted Figma File from Trash

Hi Figma Support Team,

 

I by mistake deleted a file and then also “permanently deleted” it from trash. It’s extremely unfortunate as it was my mistake completely but it had my years of work and specially in past 2 months I did a lot in the file. I really need your help in recovering it from your servers please.

 

I already raised a case on https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/1638104 and am waiting for a feedback.

Date & Time Deleted: 12th December 2025 around 1:20am Gulf Standard Time

Hello Figma Support Team,

 

I urgently need help with this so if you can please have a look at the Question above --- Tagging ​@Celine_  ​@djv  ​@Gayani_S for your support please !!

 

As the file was just deleted an hour ago, hopefully it can be recovered from the backup servers

Hi ​@Hamdan Shahid, thanks for reaching out and looping me in to help! 

I understand the urgency to get the files restored as quickly as possible, but I am not able to help with File management here on the forum. Have you tried restoring the files from your Trash? 


To restore a file:

  1. From the file browser, click Trash and locate the file you want to restore.
  2. Right-click on the file and select Restore.


That said, I’ve also escalated your open ticket #1638104 with the support team to assist, if you’re unable to restore the files on your own.

Thankkkk youuuuuu soooooo much for replying and yes Miriam solved the issue and was able to restore my file
