Publish library issue: modifying component settings should also trigger an update

wwwanyu

It seems that there is an issue with the Publish Library’s logic. It appears that a new component needs to be added for changes to be recognized and eligible for publishing. However, when I modify the properties of an existing component, it is not considered a valid change for publishing.

Hey there! Welcome to the community and thanks for flagging this.
Hmm not sure what’s causing this, I can’t replicate it 🤔. You should be able to publish the change after applying a small change to a property of the main component. |

Do you receive any error message when attempting to publish a library? If so, you may need to adjust your network settings.

It would be also great to have access to your file and a quick video recording when you encounter the issue so we can try to replicate it. If you are able to, please reach out directly to the support team here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Please use your Figma account email, include a link to the file, and add support-share@figma.com as Editor, so they can take a closer look. Thank you!

Hi Celine,
I don’t have the “Publishing fail” message.
In the same file, if I create a new component, it will be show as a change, I recorded the screen:

The file:
