When attempting to prototype a site when i link it to a variant for hover and click even if i set it to another page it keeps going to the wrong one. when i remove all links it doesn’t send anywhere which is good. But even if i link just change for hover it still allows a click function which should not be the case.

You probably have two frames overlapping each other and the connector goes to bottom frame that you don’t see when you have another frame on top.
