Problems with responsive screens in Figma Sites

Hey there!

I just published my website using Figma Sites. I connected the right domain and I had no issues with that. The problem is that the website takes forever to load in any screen, and when it comes to mobile it just doesn’t fully load. Even when I try to change my desktop windows sizes, the website crashes all the time. 
 

Is that because I published recently, and must wait for it to “settle”? Or did I do something wrong?

Hey ​@debs, thanks much for reaching out! First off, I just have to say your website looks absolutely incredible. The illustrations look amazing, such beautiful work!

I took some time to test it on my end as well. On desktop (using Chrome), it did take noticeably longer to load, and on mobile (Safari), I ran into the same issue  you mentioned, the site didn’t load fully. I’m going to check in with the team internally to see what might be causing this and whether there are any steps we can take to improve performance.
 

I’ll get back to you as soon as I have more insight, appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Hey Gayani! Thank you so much for the compliments and for the attention. I found the error! I converted all vectors into PNGs, erased a few effects, and created different components for mobile, to keep it lighter. So now it's working perfectly! I'm very happy with Figma Sites!

Hi Debs! Have you tested out with an iPhone? 
I’m dealing with the issue of Figma Sites not working responsively testing with my modest iPhone 7plus, and unfortunately, every project that I try, even by choosing some of the official Figma community premade templates without starting any customization… everything gets off-canvas issues… Even Debs’s website as well… all elements slipping and turning freaking out…

I’d love to have some support or response from official Figma techs… because it seems serious issue. :’(
