Question

Plugin review taking 20+ days is this normal?

I submitted my plugin for review on March 8th, and as of today (March 27th) I still haven't received any feedback from the Figma team. No approval, rejection, or requests for changes.

That's over 20 days of waiting, while the submission form indicated a turnaround of 5-10 business days.

Could anyone share how long the review process is currently taking? Is this wait time normal right now, or should I follow up somewhere specific?

Hey, @Nick Melloni! Answering on behalf of @Celyn_L - I hope you don’t mind.

You are right that this is definitely beyond what we aim for with plugin reviews. I’ve raised this again to the team to make sure that your request is prioritized and you hear back soon. Thank you again for your patience and understanding!

In the meantime, let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Good evening! @Celyn_L May I get a status on my plugin too? It’s been 21 days in review. Name is “ColorAssociation”, id: 1609934573762410726, link: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1609934573762410726/colorassociation.

I'm making a simple plugin for selecting a color palette based on associations for my graduation project. I’d hate to miss the deadline, which is anxiously approaching(.

May I get a status update on my “Atomize - Design System” plugin too? It’s been 10 days in review already.

Hi @Pavel Demidovich, thanks for checking in about your plugin, Atomize - Design System.

I took a look and can confirm it’s still in the review queue. I’ve given your submission an internal nudge to help bring some visibility to it.

There’s no action needed from your side for now - you’ll hear from the team via email once it’s been reviewed, whether that’s approval or feedback.

Appreciate you hanging in there while we work through the queue 🙏

Could you please clarify - when I submit a new update for the plugin, do I have to go through the same review/waiting process again, or how does it usually work?

You’re most welcome @Pavel Demidovich, happy to help!

And great question - once your plugin is approved, you won’t need to go through the full review process again for future updates. That means you can publish any updates immediately.

If you’ve made changes and want to release a new version, you can just push the update. It’ll automatically roll out to all users, and anyone who has already installed your plugin will always get the latest version.

If you’d like more details, you can check out this guide:
Manage plugins as a developer

Hope this helps! 🙌

I totally understand the frustration with the long review process. It's like waiting for a new update, similar to the anticipation for a movie blast Apk, where a delay can be disappointing. I've experienced this with other platforms too, and it's great that you're speaking up about the need for more transparency.

Hey, like many of the people that posted in this thread, I’m also in the dark about the current state of my plugin approval 😅

I have first published it on April 29, but took it down to complete refactor it and published again on May 2. Since then, I haven’t received a single update about it. I was pushing a few updates during the waiting window but decided to hold back because I was afraid that it might take me to the end of the line again.

Can I have an update regarding my plugin? https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1631379714102103044/fluid-background-studio

Thanks in advance
