Question

Plugin review taking 20+ days is this normal?

I submitted my plugin for review on March 8th, and as of today (March 27th) I still haven't received any feedback from the Figma team. No approval, rejection, or requests for changes.

That's over 20 days of waiting, while the submission form indicated a turnaround of 5-10 business days.

Could anyone share how long the review process is currently taking? Is this wait time normal right now, or should I follow up somewhere specific?

Same here. My plugin has been in review for almost a month now 🤷. I totally understand the manual effort involved, but 20+ days is a pretty long window for developers to be left in the dark. Given how many people are hitting this same wall lately, it feels like the review process might need a rethink or more resources. Would love some clarity on the delay.

Hi @huesupply, thanks for checking in and for your patience — I understand this has taken longer than expected.

I’ve looked into your submission and can confirm it’s still in the review queue. While we aim for a 5–10 business day turnaround, timelines can stretch when there’s a higher volume of submissions, which is what we’re seeing right now.

That said, I’ve shared your case internally to help bring a bit more visibility to it.

Once the review is complete, the team will reach out to you directly via the email linked to your Figma account with the outcome or any next steps.

In the meantime, there’s no additional action needed from your side, but if helpful, you can review what to expect during the process here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039958914-Plugin-and-widget-review-guidelines

Really appreciate your patience while this is being reviewed — and thanks again for contributing to the Figma community 🙏

Hi @Pavel_Laptev2, thanks for jumping in and sharing this — I hear you.

As mentioned above, while we aim for a 5–10 business day turnaround, things are taking a bit longer than usual right now as the team is working through a higher-than-normal number of submissions.

I took a look on my end but wasn’t able to locate a plugin submission tied to the email associated with your forum account, so it might have been submitted under a different email.

If you’re open to it, feel free to DM me the email address linked to your plugin submission and I’ll take a closer look for you.

@Celyn_L thanks for the reply! I understood that support doesn’t control the review pace. I’m mostly posting to add my voice to the noise around this. My plugin has the “In Review” badge, but that’s a complete black box. Is it actually being looked at, or is it just sitting in a massive spreadsheet waiting for a random pick.

If the official window is 5–10 business days, most of us are fine waiting a few extra days. But when that 5–10 turns into 20 or 30, it’s a different story. The process needs more transparency I think or adjustments.

@Celyn_L  I submitted my plugin on March 12, It has been nearly a month since I submitted for review, and I have not yet received any update or progress notification. I also haven’t received a reply to my previous email.

I’ve tried emailing Figma regarding my plugin review several times, but I’ve only received automated replies from Fig, AI Support Agent.I’m not sure if anyone on the team is still handling the review of my plugin.

Could you please let me know if my plugin is still under normal review? I would appreciate any information about its current status or estimated timeline. The plugin ID is 1613412343987844586

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Thanks @Michael Judd  — I’ve located your plugin submission for OAuth App and added a follow-up to help increase its visibility with the team. I’ve also redacted your email address from your post for your privacy and security.

@PRyan — thanks for sharing your plugin ID and the additional context. I can see that you’ve reached out regarding your plugin submission and I can confirm that your plugin (Email One-Click Packager) is currently still in the review queue.

I’ve added a follow-up note to both of your submissions to help increase visibility with the team.

We really appreciate your patience in the meantime 🙏

Hi @Celyn_L  , thanks again for the update! Just wanted to gently follow up as it’s been about 10 days, would really appreciate it if you could take a look at our review when you have a moment. Totally understand if things are busy!

Artem Dragunov

Hi there!

I’m seeing the same issue on my side too.

My plugins have also been stuck in review for up to 18 days. Sharing the IDs here in case it helps the team check:

1619055184231485173

1620125389404428801

1620570733239044190

Would really appreciate any update on the current review queue timelines.

Pavel_Laptev1

@Celyn_L Another week has gone by with no news. It’s now been 38 days since I submitted my plugin for review. This is nearly 4x the maximum 10-day window.

Muhammad_Mousa

@Celyn_L  I’m facing the same issue.

My plugin (IconNova) has been in review since March 27 (over 3 weeks now), with no feedback. It’s a low-risk plugin (no backend, no network, local processing only), and Figma has already confirmed it follows their security best practices yet it’s still under review.

Is this normal currently due to backlog, or should I be concerned?

Hey @Muhammad_Mousa, thanks for flagging this.

I took a look on my end, but I wasn’t able to locate a submission for IconNova under the email address associated with your Figma Community account. I do see another plugin submission from March 27 under a different name though.

Could you help confirm the name of the plugin you submitted, or if it may have been submitted using a different account? If so, feel free to DM me the email address you used so I can help confirm the status for you.

Hi @Pavel_Laptev1, @IntlPull, @Artem Dragunov — thanks all for following up.

I hear you on the wait, and I appreciate your patience here.

@Pavel_Laptev1, I understand this has been going on for a while on your end, I’ve gone ahead and re-raised your submission for FigClaw with the team to make sure it’s getting the right visibility.

@IntlPull, I’ve added a follow-up note to your IntlPull submission to help increase visibility.

@Artem Dragunov , thanks for sharing your plugin IDs. I checked in with the team and can confirm that Private Pixelate Image, Private Sort Layers, and Private Downsize are still in the review queue. I’ve added a follow-up note there as well to help nudge things along.

The team will reach out via email as soon as there’s an update or if anything else is required.

Really appreciate you all hanging in there while the team works through the queue 🙏
