Hey, as a new user, I tried to create a configuration page using “open overlay”, but it seems that this prevents interactions from the background. I don't see any options to change this state, if anyone has an idea. As soon as I click on an icon (here the language icon), it opens an overlay that blocks all interactions from the background.

Hi @Cheonmaa — welcome to Figma Forum!

Thanks for flagging this. I wanted to check in and see if you’ve been able to get the interactions working as expected. From your screenshot, I can see that “Français” is selected, but I’m not totally sure which specific interactions are being blocked by the overlay. I’m curious — would adding an "On tap" trigger that navigates back to the background help you achieve what you're going for (this would essentially function as a tap to dismiss)? Or are you hoping to keep the overlay open while still interacting with the other icons underneath?

If this doesn’t clear things up, when you have a moment, could you share a short video showing:

  • the steps leading up to the issue, and
  • how the prototype is currently responding?

In addition: If you’re up for it, a screenshot of how you’ve set up the prototype actions for the icon components that aren’t working as expected — along with a quick note on what you’re hoping they’ll do — would be super helpful.

That’ll give me a better sense of how to troubleshoot together. 🙏🏻
