Question

Not able to move 10 pixels while measuring

Hi, I used to be able to move objects by 10 pixels in any direction while holding the measure to selection button (option or Alt + Shift and move). But now when I do this, the object does not move anymore, but it shows measurements to objects which are further away. Did I activate this by accident? I want to be able to move 10 pixels while measuring.

      Hi @JessetW, thanks for letting us know! 

      Glad to hear the issue is resolved in Figma Design, and I’ll be sure to flag this Slides issue over to the team to investigate. Do you have a URL link for your affected Slides file that you can provide?

      With the file link, we can send it over to the team to try and pinpoint the issue.

      To replicate the issue, create or open any Slides file. Then select any object, press Option to measure distances, and then simultaneously press the arrow keys to move the object in any direction. Unfortunately, you’re not able to move the object while measuring. It acts like that for any Slides file right now. (I tried it across different accounts too.)

      Thank you! Are there any updates on this? I imagine it’s affecting all designers using Slides — referring to the ability to measure and move an object at the same time.

      The team wasn’t able to finalize and push out the fix last Friday, but they are hoping to get it done today.
      Please stay tuned - I’ll provide an update as soon as I can.

      Looks like the measure + nudge functionality for Slides have been fixed now. Thank you! 😄
