Not able to convert existing group into frame by using Plugin API

To convert my group nodes into frame nodes, I created a new Frame and copied all the existing properties of Group into it, but this changed my ID and caused an issue when linking the nodes. Figma allows us to easily convert groups into frames without affecting IDs.

Is there an API to convert existing groups into frames without changing the node IDs?

Unfortunately, the Plugin API does not have a method to convert frames to groups and vice versa. So when you create a new frame or group, that node will always have a different (new) ID.
