as title, I’m trying to use my published library in a Figma Make project, but the export for Figma Make dialog does not pop up. Also when I click Import From Figma in Make, it does nothing. Tried closing the app and reopen but still the same. I’m on a pro education plan. Is this feature available for me? thank you

Good news here: Our Engineering team has identified the root cause and deployed a fix. Please reload your tab and try again — the Import from Figma option should now work as expected. ✅
2) Export for Make button and workflow
This appears to be a separate issue from the one above. To help our Technical Quality team dig in further, it’d be great if you could share access to the file where this is happening by filling out this secure form.
When you do, please include:
- a link to the file where you’re seeing the issue
- Can edit access for support-share@figma.com
- a short screen recording showing the issue in action.

Is this happening with your own personal Make file? If so, are you able to share a URL link?
If I’m unable to determine what is causing the issue, I can also help get you connected with our support team to investigate further.
Been trying to figure this out for weeks. Not seeing any of our libraries in Make. Finally realized that the thing that looks like an ad is actually the UI for this. But my button is gray. Why is that?
Also you must make sure the library you’re publishing is enabled before trying to export to Make:
- Get your account’s Owner to change your permissions from Can edit to Admin,
Go to - All projects screen - Open team dropdown - View members
If you cannot get Admin access, get your account Owner to do the following themselves…
- Turn team libraries you want to enable from Off to All files (or Design files). It’s the same location as part 1. but click on: View settings - View team’s libraries - turn on which libraries you want Make to have access to.

- I’m on an Education Plan
- I’m the owner of the team, so this is not a “Can edit” issue
- my library is enabled to All files, such as suggested by
@Dominic
Seems that this problem occurs only with Education Plans accounts…

I totally understand the confusion here, but the “Export to Figma Make” option isn’t available on the Education plan. While your plan has access to most Professional plan features, it still has some limitations around AI features.
Right now, some AI functionality, including bringing style context from a Figma Design library into Figma Make, is not supported due to AI permission restrictions. For transparency, there was an early rollout where a limited number of Education teams were granted access to AI features via a waitlist. Since your team wasn’t part of that initial group, you won’t see the “Export to Figma Make” option.
