Need a way to use proper Bulgarian Cyrillic localization in SF Pro font

Miroslav Todorov

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a plugin or any kind of workaround that would allow me to use the Bulgarian Cyrillic character set of SF Pro in Figma.

The font itself supports localized variants for Cyrillic (including Bulgarian), but Figma seems to default to the Russian Cyrillic version — which makes some of the letters (like “б”, “д”, “и”, “й”, “л”, “п”, “т”) appear in the wrong form.

I’ve checked all available settings, but I couldn’t find an option to choose the correct localization or enable OpenType features related to language-specific alternates.

Does anyone know of a plugin, workaround, or hidden setting that could fix this?

It would be amazing if there was a way to tell Figma to use the Bulgarian localization of SF Pro automatically.

Thanks in advance!
