My Variable Component is moving in the wrong direction. Help?

I tried searching, but I don’t think I know the right terms, sorry.

I’m trying to make a menu. When you click the Hamburger, it appear ABOVE the icon.

As you can see, it goes from one variable to the other just fine, but the motion is all wrong. Instead of the menu popping up from the icon, the icon is pushed downward by the menu.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

You can put Experts and My Profile in absolute position.

Then when the hamburger menu is clicked, the component’s size doesn’t change, and thus doesn’t change position
