Will Figma Corp be so generous to allow to download the project folder to take it to VS Code?
I don't believe that, I figure the Figma Site will be focused on building websites for people who are not familiar (and don't want to be familiar) with code. I think the same for hosting, probably the price we pay will serve for hosting as well, without the option to move out.
I’ve noticed that DevMode tab is missing from Sites UI, does that mean devs are not welcome?
For developers matters, Figma Make would be the main source with all the code capabilities.
My question is, will we have access to our files?
I agree with @jurijsk Jurijsk
Download them (html, css, java-script, resct), in short, everything that involved my knowledge focus. My goal with Figma sites is to develop it, because of all the facilities of Figma design, a tool that I already use.
After all, is there an option to download the code files?
But the projects I develop have more complexity than Figma can offer at the moment, such as integrating MCPs, adding Voice AI, search, among other solutions.
It simply doesn't make sense to retain this data, which is the intellectual property of whoever created it.
In addition to being a huge loss of opportunity. Think about it, the market is full of AIs that try to create some layout, all in a certain way without a standard. And please don't tell me that it depends on the prompt.
Between the certainty of having the result you want and trying your luck, I choose professionalism. I expect the same from Figma.
