Move Figma education plan to another account

Education status can’t be transferred between separate accounts, as it’s tied to the specific account that was originally verified with your school email address.

A couple of important things to keep in mind:

• Education status is linked to the email address used during verification.

• If you update the email on that account after verification, the Education status will be revoked.

• Education plans can’t be moved from a school-email account to a separate personal-email account.

At the moment, the Education plan will need to remain on the verified school-email account. Let me know if you have any other questions — happy to help clarify.

Yes, this is still accurate. Education status stays tied to the specific account and email it was originally verified with, so moving it to a different account (personal or otherwise) still isn't something we're able to do.

A couple of things that might help, depending on what you're trying to do:

• If your goal is really to consolidate files rather than move the Education status itself, our Transfer a folder or team to a different account article walks through the options. Which one fits depends on the plans involved on each end.
• If you think your Education status may have landed on the wrong account by mistake during verification, that's a slightly different situation. Let me know and I can point you in the right direction.
