Same here. It massively doesn’t inspire confidence in Figma as an organisation. I find myself getting progressively disillusioned with them and I’ve been here since the beginning...

Dinesh Panneerselvam

It’s been more than 5 months already.

The most frustrating part isn’t even the delay anymore, it’s the complete lack of transparent communication around it. Features are publicly announced as “available,” tutorials and promotional content are pushed aggressively, and teams begin restructuring workflows around them, while a significant portion of users still have no access months later and no meaningful visibility into rollout timelines.

I fully understand phased rollouts and the importance of monitoring stability at scale. But after this long, the level of inconsistency across users, accounts, and even members within the same organization feels poorly managed rather than intentional.

And marking the thread as “solved” while the issue is very clearly still unresolved only adds to the frustration. The rollout is still incomplete, users are still waiting, and there’s still no actual timeline being communicated.

At some point, continuing to market a feature as generally available while many paying users are still excluded from access becomes genuinely difficult to justify.

@Gayani_S , @Celine_

The issue is clearly not resolved yet, so marking this thread as “solved” feels very misleading.

Many users are still waiting after 5+ months, teams are still dealing with inconsistent workflows, and there’s still no proper rollout timeline or visibility being shared.

Closing or marking discussions as solved while the actual problem still exists only adds more frustration for users who are actively affected by it.

Hey @Dinesh Panneerselvam , thanks for taking the time to share this feedback! I understand the rollout experience around it have felt confusing.

As @djv mentioned previously, the left navigation bar are still being gradually rolled out to users, which is why some accounts may still not have access yet. At the moment, we unfortunately don’t have a more specific rollout timeline to share.

I also want to acknowledge your point about the thread being marked as solved. The previous reply was marked as the best answer only to pin the latest official update from our team for visibility, not to imply the rollout itself was complete.

To help avoid further confusion, I’ve now updated the thread and pinned the latest rollout update at the top instead.

I’ve also shared this Forum topic internally for visibility, we appreciate you raising it.

That’s the whole problem. You don’t have any timeline. Just ask intern what is the status. Just give us some transparency. I cannot be this big that is takes so long. New functions about grids are pushing fast. You tell us everytime that you don’t have a timeline. Just fix the timeline then. This is BS!

Hi, @Michael Descharles! Thanks for your post. Just an FYI - I’ve moved it to another thread regarding the same topic as your first question.

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, we’re rolling the left sidebar of the newer UI out gradually to everyone. While I don’t have more specific info as far as a timeline goes, you will get this update once it reaches your account. Thank you for your patience!

With the Check Designs feature, this is also rolling out gradually. You should see it soon, though! Also, this would also explain why some team mates might have it before you do - just mentioning that in case this is something you and your team have noticed. In the meantime, I recommend reading through the help article on Check Designs, and the Prepare your file section in particular. Prepping the file first should ensure that you can get the most out of the feature once you have access.
