Losing access randomly

Hello,

One of my colleagues creates mockups in Figma. She has a company email address (mail@company.com) and shared the file link with me.

When I click the link, I request access. I receive an email confirming that my access request has been approved, and I can then navigate the mockup without any issue.

However, sometimes, suddenly, I receive a red notification in Figma saying something like “You don’t have access to this file”, and I am forced to request access again.

I don’t know which Figma subscription plan we are on (if any), so I’m wondering if this behavior could be related to plan or permission limitations.

Thank you for your help,
Best regards.

Hi @djiqdsioqds, thanks for reaching out!

I took a look at your account associated with your forum email address, and you’re on a Starter plan with can view access. Based one what you’ve described, since you already have view access for the team, it might be the individual file’s permissions that’s granting you temporary access then after some time requiring you to need to request access again.

More information about inherited and explicit permissions is available here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500007609322-Guide-to-sharing-and-permissions#h_01K6P8WKVZ5V9YSC6X7D98Z4EH

Hope this helps!
