Is layer hierarchy still taken into account when preserving overrides?

In my experience naming is more important than layer structure. Thus you can have two components structured in very different ways and still be able to swap instances preserving overrides using good naming convention. If names do not match, however, overrides will be gone.

Yeah that was my assumption and what I’d found in testing, but started second guessing myself when I came across the first article I referenced. Maybe the article just needs updating?

Hopefully it’s not one those ‘it depends’ type scenarios 🫠
