You can either set fill opacity to 0.01% or use a mask to cut out the fill.

It seems that it doesn’t work anymore 😦

It works only at 0.2% in my figma

I can confirm, this is weird behavior on part of Figma. Photoshop can do it… but in Figma, we have to enter a 0.01 value in our fill to keep the shape active. Can’t this be changed to have shaped with ZERO fill, but still have their shadows?

Any changes on this topic or is this still a bug?

Strange, this behavior of no drop-shadow with empty fill seems like something they would have had to code in. Maybe some dev thought too physically and felt overly clever that day.

I know its been years late to reply lmao 😆. but here’s my tip

First you need to set the blending mode of the shape to Multiply
Make sure that you are using absolute white to that shape (#FFFFFF)

and voila
