Is it possible to implement custom member usernames?

Is it possible to implement custom member usernames? We collaborate with multiple companies, and each team member goes by a nickname. Due to the size of our team, it has become challenging to effectively manage and remember everyone’s nicknames. We are hoping to develop a system for custom usernames within our team members’ list, enabling us to easily manager member on the team roster.
