Is it possible to add variables on nested components?

Hello community, I ran into a little problem and have a quick question. 
At first I made this simple text button with variables 
I configured every parameter on the button with variables and now I can switch button size (with icons, text size, etc.) to S, M, L, XL sizes easily.
However if I make split button like this with text button + icon button grouped together, my sizes of S,M,L, XL doesnt work anymore, I have to click every button inside nest and change appearance via variables individually, is it possible to change all grouped elements via variables at once?
