I want to select multiple objects inside a section but it doesnt allow me to drag inside. Only outside of a section. Is that a bug or that’s just how it is?

Both is working fine for me. Using mouse to ‘Click and Drag’ select and ‘Shift+Click’ select. Might be a bug. Try restarting the app or your system once. This has helped me fix lot many times for different issues.
