Is it Figma or my computer?

Hi everyone I need help. When I work on some design project in which I apply brush strokes and/or effects to vectors and texts, the file starts to slow down, not responding until I have to close it. The memory used by the file does not even exceed 1% so I thought it could be a problem with my computer (Macbook Pro M2 8GB RAM). Does anyone know if this is really the case or is it a figma problem? thanks in advance
