Hi,

I am looking to use the font Didot for commercial use (logo, website, printed materials).

I’ve googled everywhere trying to find a desktop licence to purchase but there seems to be so many variations and they are all different to the one on Figma. I’ve seen others say that google fonts supply the fonts to Figma, but even their version of Didot is different to Figma’s one. Is the general rule “if it’s in Figma by default, it’s free to use?” Is anyone able to help me please?
Thanks!

Only GFS Didot should be available in Figma from Google Fonts. See license here: GFS Didot - Google Fonts If you have “Didot” you must have it installed on your computer.

Thank you for your help!
But I have 100% not downloaded it onto my device so really unsure how it’s there. It’s also available to use by default on powerpoint.

Do you have a recommendation of where to purchase licences from?

Why not just use GFS Didot? I’m not 100% sure about its license but you can read it and find out if you can use it for logos. Should be fairly permissive.

For my fonts I like FontSquirrel, try searching if Didot is available from there. There are many different font websites though, that’s just my personal preference.
