Hi, in the last day or two Iâve noticed that some of my images have disappeared from my designs. All images are PNGs and when i try to reupload them I get the âInvalid image or thumbnail is removedâ message. Now I would be OK with this if it happened to every PNG as then it may be a location issue but some of the same PNGs are showing in other frames? There doesnât seem to any logic to it, some of them are showing, some of them are not and it wont let me reupload the PNG?! Any ideas?

Thanks fore the post! The most common reason youâll see an âAn invalid image or thumbnail was removedâ error message is if thereâs an image in the elements youâre copying that isnât able to be pasted because itâs âinvalidâ or corrupted in some way.
For the images that arenât pasting over, can you try the following:
- In the original file select the image
- In the dev mode panel, open CSS view
- Use the âFile nameâ link to open the source image in a new browser tab
- If the image loads there, right click to copy and paste or save and insert it into your new file.

I was able to do it till 3rd step, but during 4th step when I pasted it in my file, some invisible text was pasted. And I know it was a text since it is showing in the layers panel that it is a text. What to do?

Could you try the troubleshooting below?
- Close any Figma tabs youâre not using
- Browser : Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
- Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache.
