I accidentally deleted the project from the team. Is there a way to recover it?

Hi everyone! I accidentally deleted all my drafts and slides while deleting team projects (all of it happened because of ChatGPT that’s said my drafts will not be deleted while deleting team projects and they will always appear in my personal files). Though the worst of all is I can’t restore any of them, they simply don’t appear there, it’s empty, how I get back my projects?

Hey @Antônio Albuquerque — welcome to the Figma Forum! Glad we could connect here, and thanks for reaching out about your project.

There are a few options that might help get this sorted. If your situation meets the following criteria, you should be able to restore the deleted project directly in your account:

  • You have can edit access to the project.
  • You have can edit access to the project’s team.
  • The project’s original team still exists.

You can find step-by-step instructions and illustrations here: Delete and restore projects → Restore projects from the trash.

I also noticed you have an open ticket with our Product Support team — I’ve flagged that you posted here as well, so they’ll have the full context. Keep an eye out for a reply via the email tied to your account.

Thanks for hanging in there while we look into this — I totally get how concerning it can feel. If you get a chance to try the steps in the guide above, let me know how it goes. And definitely keep us posted with any updates.
