How to show branch merged on compare changes in dev mode?

I’m having trouble seeing the merged versions on the compare changes screen in dev mode. When I merge something into the main branch, and I want to compare them in dev mode, so that the developer can see what has changed, I can’t display them.

Is this a problem or am I doing something wrong?
