I need to see the hidden scrollable part on prototype, but on dev mode I don’t know how to see the content hidden

Hi there,

Thanks for the post! I’m checking with our internal team, and will get back to you when I have anything I can share.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi there,

My apology for the delayed response. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to inspect clipped parts of a design without editing the file itself to expose those layers somehow. I’d say the recommended practice is that the designer provides a full-height copy of the page, so that any layer can be inspected on the canvas without scrolling

We shared your feedback to our internal team for potential future enhancements!

Thanks,

Toku

But this is actually unnecessary additional effort, which could be prevented by Figma’s beautiful export concept.

If I have a dev seat, I can go deep into the layers via the left panel and select everything I want, which is then available as an export on the right panel. Even layers that are in an area that has “clip content” activated. I can copy or download the invisible elements there. However - and this is a problem - NO SVGs.

If you try to load SVGs you get this error message:

Bildschirmfoto 2024-10-15 um 12.53.36

So, we can load JPG and PNG this way but not SVG.

Why?
